We tested several varieties and found the Railcity smooth tape to provide several benefits above the others tested. Some tape did not stick to the dips and shape properly. Some were too thick and made little use of the SWEETridge concave. Most importantly some did not grip right. Railcity smooth tape out performed the others in every test including longevity and what we refer to as "positive deterioration" (how it wears over use).
